The idea behind the layout was to create something quick, over the winter when it was too cold to be in the loft. Inspired partly by Allan Downes model of Polperro, and his recent articles in 'Model Rail', I've created a small inner harbour quayside. The buildings are deliberately a collection of different styles, but all sort of based on Cornish prototypes, not least of which is the pub, which is a version of the famous Sloop Inn at St Ives.
